Wolves: They seek to put a much-needed star next to Ant, and who better than his childhood idol, KD. Wolves would also trade Randle to receive Claxton as the Gobert replacement. They sign Melton+Brogdan to replace NAW+Conley, and set themselves up to continue their Contention in the West.
Suns: With KD's trade destination finalists being between the Wolves, Rockets, and Heat, they have less wiggle room for a trade to make, but this is not a bad return. They get a much-needed defensive anchor center in Gobert, who has shown multiple times he can completely change an entire team's defense, and the Suns themselves are also seeking a center. They get Conley as a playmaking Vet PG next to Book, and receive Dillingham #17 as youth compensation. This trade is a mixture of getting Win-now players and also preparing for the future, which is what makes this trade good for Phoenix.
Nets: With Brooklyn going into win-now mode, they'd trade Claxton and be made to get Holiday+3 frps. The picks set themselves up well for the future, and Jrue himself can be rerouted mid-season, as teams will be more desperate to try and get an extra edge in contention, and Holiday, despite his age+contract, will help with that a lot.
Celtics: With Tatum out for the year, and them needing to clear cap space, this trade helps them with both of those issues. Julius Randle would slot in for Tatum at that PF position and would help Boston with scoring, playmaking, and rebounding. They'd still be able to make noise even without Tatum, and it'd set them up for when he comes back, as Randle is an expiring contract, who they can either let walk or seek to extend on a smaller deal. Either way, this trade helps them get a Tatum-Substitutude, while also clearing them of the Holiday Contract.
