Over the off-season I’m really working on my podcast and have had an idea that I think the community could really enjoy and something that if it takes off could even grow the Fanspo community.
So, the series is trade wars. Each week we’ll have a subject, that could be a team/player/rebuild etc and I’ll take the 9 best trades submitted and discuss them on the podcast. I’ll come up with my own trade, we’ll go through the logic and then I’ll give my opinion on who wins and we’ll put it to a vote on Fanspo during the week.
I’ll release the topic for the first episode post draft and we’ll get started. Please like and flame and we’ll get something going that can get he entire community engaged!
Aside from the series idea thoughts on the trade attached?
Idea is that the Wolves elevate their championship chances getting two super high level pieces to fit around Ant, JMac and Rudy.
Middleton’s contract runs out at the same time as Gobert’s and Holidays is the year before, means that Wolves can compete with the old guard but would have a clean cap to rebuild in 25/26, with more picks available and Ant in his prime.
On the Bucks side, they’re sort of going no where fast with an aging core and I think they’re heading towards Giannis not retiring as a Buck if they don’t take action. Giving up two high level guys for a centre piece in KAT that’s super complimentary with Giannis extends the window and allows for some roster change to take place. I like the flyer on KPJ for Brook, young guard who’s seemingly more suited to an off ball role, could play off Giannis and KAT really well. It’s a gamble basically.
As for the Rockets super simple, they’ve been linked to Brook, have cap to burn and if they aren’t in the spot that they want to be come the deadline he could even be moved for assets.
