Lakers:

For the Lakers, here they finally solve the center position. Claxton would fit perfect with Luka, LeBron and Reaves. His skillset is elite; he is always at the right spots, great defense, screening and rebounding and does a lot of the hustle/dirty work. But, actually this year Claxton had added more elements to his game that would intrigue JJ Redick's offense. He does a lot of handoffs and playmaking/putting the ball on the floor and runs and is a lot more active on the offensive side of the ball. Huge upgrade from Ayton, who's included in the trade. Underratedly, they also pick up Ziaire Williams, who's been an astounding 3 and D wing for the Nets. Brings effort and always seems to play at a high energy especially on defense, which is what they have been missing from Dalton Knect. Wilson and Martin are included in this trade to match salaries and players coming in and out. This part of the trade isn't nothing crazy, essentially it's like Martin and Wilson for Vincent and Kleber, players whom aren't big parts of their team and maybe could use a new team and new coaching to trust them. To note one thing, Martin and Wilson do play solid defense and give good effort, and since JJ Redick complained about the effort/defense/execution/hustle, the lakers get 4 players that were coached under Jordi Fernandez who so far is becoming a great defensive coach.

Nets:

While Claxton is the most valuable in this whole trade, Ayton is more than a solid replacement as him and Claxton are around the same age and still a talented center. While he wouldn't preferably be part of this team's long term future, I think in the moment, the Nets would be a good team for him to really breakout and potentially prove that he is not a bust. Just like MPJ having a good year, Ayton has the chance to do the same. Dalton Knect also can start fresh. Brooklyn is going to miss Ziaire as much as Claxton, but Dalton is a good replacement as he is a second year player and we know that he is a knock down shooter. As aforementioned, Kleber and Vincent are swapped for Wilson and Martin, more so for salary purpose, but Gabe and Kleber could be good vets for a young Nets team
