The All-Star Point Guard Damian Lillard along with the 2028 & 2030 pick swaps will be sent to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Christian Wood, Maxwell Lewis, 2 First-Round picks (2029 & 2031), and 4 Second-Round picks.

The Bucks do this to add more depth and a dependable bench unit that can help Giannis win another title. D'Angelo Russell would be a great fit around Giannis as he can be the 3rd Option scorer for Giannis and Middleton. Adding Rui and Gabe Vincent will not ultimately restore their defensive prowess when Jrue Holiday is there. However, they will still add solid defense to build decent enough defensive pressure around the perimeter. Rui Hachimura can be the 3 and D guy and Gabe Vincent looking to contribute like he was in that 2023 Heat Team which led to the Finals.
