By far, the Detroit Pistons’ biggest need this offseason will be getting a secondary offensive creator to pair next to Cade.
Detroit Pistons
Potential Starters: Cade-Jalen Green-Ausar-Tobias Harris(assumed resign)-Jalen Duren(assumed resign)
This team has a much more dangerous half-court offense, with a true second ball-handler and scorer to go next to Cade. I like Jalen Green’s overall fit with the team as well, he’s an athletic 3 level scorer than can handle the ball, and a decent passer. I think he’d fit quite well in this system. Losing Robinson hurts, but I think it’s worth it, and Jalen Green is far younger and can continue to develop; he has also shown that he can play extremely well in a playoff setting.
Phoenix Suns
Potential Starters: Colin Gillespie-Devin Booker-Duncan Robinson-Dillon Brooks-Mark Williams
A solid looking team, I think we could see them repeat as a 7th or 8th seed. They send out an up-and-coming young scorer for a reliable shooter in Robinson and a solid 3&D bench player in LeVert. They also acquire some draft capital to continue building a young core around the aging duo of Booker and Brooks.
My Grades
Pistons: A; I think this is a solid trade for them that would benefit them in the long run especially.
Suns: A-; I think losing Green hurts, but getting draft capital and reliable veterans raises their floor.
