Nets owner has made it clear he doesn't want to rebuild. They have the draft assets to acquire not just one but two stars and I think this gets it done. Dame has already said he'd love to play with his bud, Mikal.

Controversial opinion but I actually think Ben Simmons is still worth a flier for a rebuilding team that gets him out of the spotlight. He's a good salary to get back in a trade if he comes with a lot of draft capital as well.

The picks can be flexible between the two teams. I didn't really think much about protections or who gets which picks, just figured four 1sts for each is around the ballpark it would take to acquire them. The Nets could still ship out another pick or two if they really were committed. Additionally, I think Cam Thomas and Day'ron Sharpe are good prospects to get back and help rebuilding teams.
