Randle not a good fit in the Wolves' starting lineup, probably not a long term core piece, so they send his potentially expiring contract to San Antonia for a protected 1st.

Wolves are short on high IQ vets, and could use depth at PG, so CP3 fits both of those needs. And Collins is a backup 5, which the Wolves currently don't have.
