So the challenge was Detroit-Pelicans. Frankly, I didn't see great 2 way deals, except contracts and picks for Bogi, which is not that appealing for a team (and a little boring).
New Orleans had a great defensive rating last year, but it was all based on their perimeter/wing defense (Alvarado, Jones, Nance). They had the 6th worst block rate in the league and it shows in tight games when halfcourt matters. JV is a good scorer and rebounder but not a great defender inside.
The Cavs know they need to move on from the Mobley-Allen combo. Cavs fans on fanspo hate when I say it, but it was obvious in the Knicks series. The offense is stale. JV is a perfect combo with Mobley and can replace the Allen rebounding. Plus they add Bogi here for the wing. More Okoro can help make up for the defensive loss.
Detroit picks up a solid prospect and a pick for Bogi, plus a decent wing in LeVert.
