I'm in the camp that believes Luka and LeBron can't coexist on a basketball court. So, I selfishly want to see LeBron on the Warriors with Steph. I also think the Warriors are the only team he'd waive his no trade clause to go to. LeBron won't want to go to Cleveland or another east coast or central city. He will want to stay on the West Coast and the Warriors are still close enough that he won't have to relocate his entire life to play there.
Lakers get a solid wing in Wiggins and the center they've needed in Kessler as they start to build their future around Luka. Kuminga is also a very solid young piece they can bring back and try to develop into Luka's next co-star. They still have the contracts of Hachimura, Vincent, etc. to use in any future deals. Capitalizing on the Warriors desperation and resetting the roster is what I believe is the Lakers best course of action moving forward.
The Warriors gut the roster to bring LeBron and Curry together so they can attempt to go on one last fairytale run. They'll make a ton of money just from having these two on the court together. Will it work? Probably not but why not have some fun? Idk Luka just got traded, anything can happen.
And of course, Utah gets the 2 very valuable 1st round picks they wanted for Kessler. Another win for Danny Ainge.
