Cavs move Allen, allowing Mobley to run the C position. In return, they get off Niang's contract, reduce salary overall, get a 2025 1st (DEN) and swap right with LAL for 2030 while giving up a low '27 2nd rounder. JHS develops off the bench, Hachimura allows for a larger body in stretch lineups, and Wood backs up Mobley if needed. They reduce current salary & long term salary in this deal (over $7 million per year), and can afford to fill the 15th spot with an full mid-level player, backup big, or take on salary in a trade if needed while moving well beneath the cap for a season.

Orlando gains the Allen / Banchero All-Star frontcourt, while keeping the recently-signed Wagner and Isaac (who are not trade eligible) to play alongside / backup the pair. They also take a flier on Cam Reddish for wing depth / to replace Howard (who did not stick in the rotation last year). They also give up Denver's 1st this year, making this Howard/Carter/ a 1st for Allen / Reddish.

Lakers take the long-term Niang salary, swap a developmental JHS for a developmental Howard, and swap WC3 for Rui in the starting lineup, moving Davis (nominally) to PF. They also get off of 2 veteran "opt-in" players in Wood/Reddish, give up the 2030 swap, and get the DEN 2027 2nd rounder (partial payment for the Niang contract). Everyone coming back can stretch the floor a bit, a stated JJ "want", and by giving a swap as opposed to a full 1st and taking back the bad contract, keeps things a bit more flexible moving forward.
