Wizards offseason plan: Playin Push!

SUCCESS

With the additions of Trae and AD, it's clear that the Wizards are done with mediocrity and are ready for a winning season.

Step 1: Waive DLO

His lack of first-step and creation ability has really set him back over the past 2 seasons, and his playstyle is satisfied by Bub being here. I don't view there being any value add in tradeing him so waiving is the appropriate option

Step 2: Decline Cam's TO

A net negative in the locker room and a talent that we might never see actualized, that is the story of Cam Whitmore. With a 1st and 2 seconds coming in, it makes sense to decline his TO to open a roster spot for the guys coming in.

Step 3: Sign Cooper to a 2-year deal with a TO on the 2nd year.

This is Sharife's 2nd team playing with Trae, and he has finally found his spark this year in the league. In games that Trae or Bub miss, He can lift the offense and keep this team afloat despite his defensive woes. The good news is that he won't be giving back MORE on that end cause they literally have Trae on this team, so they'll just have to deal with being bad at the PG position.

Step 4: The Draft

Bilal had his time, but if the Wizards get a top 5 pick, they ought to move him to the bench in favor of the lotto pick. With the best 2nd, draft a raw big man to work on, as AD will likely have his various injuries next season. With the other 2nd, sign a combo guard to a two-way as they will already be at the 15-man max.

Wizards Lineup:

T. Young / B. Carrington / S. Cooper

K. George / T. Johnson / J. Hardy

2026 FRP / J. Champagnie / W. Riley

A. Sarr / B. Coulibaly / J. Watkins

A. Davis / T. Vucivec / 2026 SRP
