Kings Blow it up, 76ers and Suns find a way to get off of Beal & PG, Rockets gets firepower, Pistons get their final piece.

SUCCESS

The big one here is Sacramento, so we’re just going to focus on them-

Their core isn’t working, they have the 3rd worst contracts and roster construction in the league after Phoenix and Philly, however they have the keys to their rebuild in Sabonis and Monk. To get out of the hole, they have to dig deeper- taking on the worst contracts in the league (Beal and PG) in order to receive 8 FRPs and young prospects in Green & Co. that are on deals that will coincide with PG & Beal coming off the books. In total Sacramento ends up with 8 FRPs and multiple young talent to set themselves up for 2027 to compete again.

Why Beal does this- second most crucial part of the deal is getting Bradley Beal to sign on, this deal goes nowhere if he doesn’t. A lot has been made of Beal wanting to stay in Phoenix, but the guy isn’t stupid- the situation has turned very toxic. The fanbase hates him, ownership and the FO has been critical of him, and he’s about to be waived and stretched- which to us normies sounds like a great plan but to a high level athlete their comes a tinge of embarrassment. Imagine sucking so bad that someone is willing to pay 100 million dollars for you to go away? That’s a trivia question no self respecting athlete will ever want attached to their name. Sacramento in theory can compete for the play in with Green, Beal, and a healthy PG. The weather is nice and the fanbase exhibits much less toxicity than Phoenix. This is a good situation for Beal and his family, he’s a smart dude and I think will accept this trade.

Next, Houston. I’ll keep this short- they need scoring, and they need to keep Amen, Sengun, and Tari. Bringing in KD fills that niche, O’Neal is an excellent bench piece that brings what they need while having talents that already for their rotation, and signing Monk to takeover for FVV would be a godsend. This deal puts Houston on the level of a title threat in 2026.

Detroit: the 2 man game between Sabonis and Cade will be absolutely beautiful. Yes they give up some assets to get him, but with the ascension of Asur Thompson as a wing threat, Durnen & Sabonis might make themselves a top 3 front court in the league with attention being focused elsewhere. Easy accept for Detroit.

Philly: You shed PG, take back Lavine and keep your firsts and Jared MacCain. Yes it hurts to give up the Clippers picks, but that’s a necessary evil to get out of Cap hell, at least halfway because now you gotta figure wtf to do with Embiid.

Phoenix: This is the soft rebuild that makes the most sense. Yes you still take on salary in Derozan and FVV, yes you could probably get more assets dealing with Houston alone, but slotting in Jabari and Keegan Murray next to Booker is how you start a culture of hustle and grind mindset.

I’m sure this will be a controversial trade but I really think if you read into it, every fanbase involved would be happy when it goes through.
