Why New York Does This:
New York sacraficed a big depth piece in Divincenzo in the KAT trade. In this trade they get 3 guys who instantly go into their rotation and help out
They do have to give up Dadiet, who ik they like, but for this trade it's worth it.
They get a guy in Dosnunmu who could genuinely be the 6th man of the year.
Why Memphis Does This:
I'm aware Memphis likes Zach Edey, and in making this trade, it doesn't take away from what he brings, however it adopts a similar mindset to the one the Mavs had in trading for Gafford
Mitch Rob is going to be injured for the first few months of the season, however come playoff time, he brings that elite defensive center and rebounder that they can trust.
Zach Edey can show out in the regular season, Mitch Rob comes in for the playoffs, very solid core, and they essentially only give up Santi and 2 seconds.
Why Chicago Does This:
Chicago has a boatload of young guards, and i'm aware they really like Ayo, however this package is just too good to turn down. They get Dadiet, first round pick this year with a huge ceiling, while also getting 4 second round picks
The Bulls I think would be very happy with this trade
