Mpj to pistons

FAILED

Pistons: mpj is a really really good shooter who would be so nice with Cade as a spot up shooter/creator when Cade isn’t playing or needs a rest on a certain possession and especially since he would be surrounded by great defense and lob threats (which he is surprisingly good at passing to). Also mpj has championship experience which can’t be underrated. They also don’t lose to much as reed realistically wouldn’t be a part of the playoff rotation barring injuries, lavert has been really bad and Ivey is coming back from injury so it’s kind of a risk but he hasn’t looked promising and the pistons weren’t bad without him either. Also not an integral part of the defense.

Nets: as a new nets fan (kind of) I don’t really want to see Mpj go with how well he is playing and how well he fits in with the young up and comers on this team, however his contract makes it kind of impossible not to want to trade him this year since if you don’t, next year he’ll be an expiring and you would be stuck with either extending him and once again overpaying wayyy to much for him or, diminishing his value and not really getting anything in return. Maybe overpaying for him isn’t so bad since he has been really good and you’re not really looking to be a winning team as soon as possible though. This return for him isn’t the best but despite not playing great and being injury prone, Jaden Ivey is still a good asset and you also get a 1st round pick in a year you don’t have your own and a few tradeable contracts.
