Why the Jazz do this deal: Pretty much for the flier on JHS and the 2029 first. Picking up Russell is a nice move as well, and he will probably put up some decent numbers as their second option after Lauri Markannen.

Why the Lakers do this deal: D-Lo doesn't fit and Collin Sexton would slide really nicely into a Sexton-Reaves-Knecht-LeBron-AD lineup. He's a great finisher and his playmaking ability should open up more opportunities for both of Knecht and Reaves from 3. This is a really good fit for LA, and giving up a year of D-Lo, JHS (who does not get minutes), and a 2029 first, which shouldn't be good enough that they regret giving it away.
