With Luka making the NBA finals and finishing 3rd in MVP voting. The Hawks are under a lot of pressure to compete. They have to build around Trae Young today.

This is not one large trade but 4 small trades on one graphic.

First the Hawks need a running mate for Young. I think Ingram is that guy he’s big he’s athletic and finished well. Also at the end of games when you need a shot, Young can space out and let him cook. Murray wasn’t a fit for the Hawks. He’s a point guard and that clashed with Trae rather than complimenting him.

The Hawks needed more big wing defenders who can score. Bridges is that. Bridges can space the floor all while playing well next to the other two. That number one pick in a weak draft isn’t as valuable as the past.

The Hawks need a floor spacing Big to help clear up driving lanes for Young. Zach Collins is that big. While losing Okongwu. Hurts I think Collins is a better fit moving forward.

The Hawks need more scoring to help Trae Young out. Bogy played well last season off the bench for the Hawks. This solidifies their bench with Bey and others.
