Knicks will receive the much-needed depth they need while simultaneously trading away the big contract from Towns. They'll receive a few draft picks (Knicks are in "win now" mode but getting a few picks in return for this trade could lead to another big acquisition in the near future).

Pelicans move up in the 2025 NBA draft from the 7th overall pick to the 3rd pick (will probably select Ace Bailey from Rutgers). They send a variety players as they seek to rebuild under the new president of basketball operations, Joe Dumars. They'll surround Bailey with Anfernee Simons and DeAndre Ayton (for at least 1 year). Pelicans also retain Dejounte Murray and Zion Williamson.

The Trailblazers revamp their roster with a blockbuster acquisition; Karl-Anthony Towns. They also get to welcome back CJ McCollum to the organization. They'll send out their 11th overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft to Pelicans.

Sixers switch out the 3rd overall pick for the 7th pick; they obtain the defensive specialist Herb Jones and send out Kelly Oubre in this trade as well.
