The Mavs trade THJ and an Unprotected 1st for PJ Washington and a future 2nd
Why each team should do this: Hornets: Pairing THJ with a good playmaker in Lamelo could increase his value and be trade during the deadline or next offseason since he’s on a declining contract. This allows the hornets to gain more assets for the longer haul and their frontcourt is too crowded to be paying PJ the money he wants.
Side trade: Dallas extends Josh Green on a 4/$60M deal this off-season but if he takes another leap they should consider trading him during the 2024 Draft for maybe like Bronny if he falls to the 7-11 range. It resets the rookie contract.
