simmons may be the best trade package for brooklyn bc the threat of retirement may turn some teams off, however i could see morey pulling a move such as this bc of phillys championship window with embiid and take a risk to pair embiid and kyrie -simmons provides a ton of defensive versatility which the nets need and instantly simmons becomes their best perimeter defender on the team and probably their best perimeter defender
simmons lack of an offensive game will not be a big deal for the nets as he could still be a good pick and roll man with harden. nets also has nothing but shooting around simmons so he should thrive in brookyln. plus harden and kd is enough to the point where you could lose kyrie and it wont be a big issue. to further fill their depth the nets also have the big contender privilege of being one of the best buyout markets. if a player becomes available nets would be an instant favorite so the nets could fill their roster out through that method. examples would be gary harris, danuel house, and derrick favors and maybe thad young.
kyrie would be an almost perfect match for embiid, amazing perimeter scorer and overall just an amazing scorer and could do it all offensively which allows embiid to dominate the paint more bc kyrie would be doing his scoring in the perimeter. they lose defense but if youre the sixers you do this bc the value for simmons is pretty low bc sixers have championship ambitions and morey is man that would take the risk to trade for an all star player like kyrie even with the threat of retiring.
