Imagine what he may do with 3 other all star type players in a weaker eastern conference. And the price of getting that guy is 33 y/o center on a bad contract and a shooting gaurd that was okay but not taking them any further into the playoffs and a first round pick now Philly has a fantastic 4!

Why Denver does this: Denver is in the place where they have made the leap to contenders, but will most likely fall short and lose to the lakers they have plenty of potential talent to spare. As with every sport u have to strike while the irons hot so instead of waiting for Micheal Porter to develop into that third guy, you go out and get a thid scorer who can take pressure of Murray and the joker. Also picking up an additional 1st round pick where there are prospects ripe with potential.

Why the Warriors do this: They are a great team when healthy however their stars are all above thirty and the next 4 years is their title window. They have never had a true reliable center with Adams they get a screening and rebounding giant who plays solid interior defense and can finish around the basket. His large contract is expires at the end of the year and if things dont work out they will have shed Wiggins big contract by making this deal if things do work they will be able to renegotiate his contract to reduce the financial burden. They also get Richardson who is a tough athletic gaurd who can help with the scoring load. They are also financially strapped so they dont wanna pay a young player who still needs to be groomed especially in a relatively weaker draft when you are considering absolute Superstar potential.
