JAZZ: You don't attract free agents, so you want the best players possible, you get the literal finals MVP. You just lost your starting center so you bolster it up for cheap with Queta. You have Nurkic, Queta and Filipowski so your chilling. You keep JJJ at the 4, you get Walsh for defensive wing depth. Then you get Jaylen Brown. There was a chance Ace Bailey was going to have to come off the bench, here you don't worry about him and ship him off to Boston. Lauri... Lauri is great but his contract is hefty and this team won't win the finals without a main main guy. I understand Peterson can and will become that guy, but Lauri and Jaylen the same age anyways why not trade Lauri for him. I get Ace Bailey seems like a stretch to give up, but IT'S FINALSMVP JAYLEN BROWN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.
CELTICS: JB is well already got traded here you get Lauri who would somewhat account for lost production and he's the same age, so he maintains the Celtics timeline. He's also a bit cheaper maybe 10M's less which offers a little flexibility. Ace Bailey is like insurance for if everything goes wrong. Say Lauri just gets his career derailed from injury, or Derrick White starts to regress and then Tatum wants out, Ace Bailey is insurance for all this and then you can just build around him. This trade assists with the presence and future, the defense with White, Ace, Tatum, Lauri and Mitchell would be a hassle for teams to deal with. This lineup doesn't seem so bad when sized up against other Eastern Conference powerhouses no?? But with Paul George they look like a damn joke.
