This scenario can work if Detroit does not make it to Conference Finals, let alone the NBA Finals, with the East in what I can say a "random chaotic" event this year and Jaden Ivey has not stepped to be another offensive weapon or option. As well for the Jazz, I do not believe you are getting 3 to 4 first round picks for Markkannen (unless maybe Charlotte, Brookyln or Sacremento gets Lauri sweepstakes), even with the season that he is having right now but I do believe you can get a couple of first round picks in the later years and then build on the draft capital to either getting young prospects or a disgrunted star in the future.
