Why Bulls do it : they get off what they perceive is a bad contract for 2 expiring contracts also being able to possibly flip Rui at the deadline for more value or keep him and let him expire. The bulls are known to be bad at valuing their assets so them giving this up for only 1 second would not be a surprise for me. Why the Magic do it : they currently have 4 serviceable centers with this trade they get rid of the least valuable one while also not loosing the defence JI brought by bringing in Vando and also getting a good young prospect in Dalton and we all know the magic need as much shooting as they can get.
