Celtics currently need a centre. They just traded kp (who was their starting centre) and the current centre who would be starting would be Al Horford (way past his prime.) So this is a great trade for them. The mavs are lacking the opposite, guard play. Next year kyrie is out and the next option is max christie (not the best). So this is the perfect trade for them.
