Why Each Team Does This:

Washington Wizards: With them not wanting to Pay Kuzma the money he wants in free agency next offseason This trade helps them compete while adding a young shooter to the team and a pick. Lowry is under contract for two more years the same as Porzingis and could be flipped in the offseason or next season for more picks since his contract would be down to only one year. If extended Strus can bring the Wizards a shooter that fits into a rebuilding or even a retooling timeline and can even be flipped later on for another draft pick. Trading Kuzma also opens a lot of minutes for the younger guys in Hachimura, Kispert, and Avdija.

Charlotte Hornets: Another team that doesn't want to pay a player heading into free agency and he will be payed a lot because of the season he is having. They get a back two young players and a first for Washington and Oubre. Robinson is a player that is a project for a team rebuilding it would be perfect for them to take him on. Robinson needs a change of place and this could help his shooting get back up and be able to get flipped for a pick later down the line.

Miami Heat: This is pretty obvious they need two things right now bench production and height and you get all that in this trade. Washington and Kuzma bring rebounding and height to the team while Kuzma brings scoring. Morris and Oubre off the bench surrounded by defenders can help bring up the bench production.
