disclaimer 1 - the Jock Landale contract is basically a waive by Houston, his contract has a team option every year that Fanspo doesn't recognize
disclaimer 2 - I'm not familiar with the end of bench Brooklyn guys, so if it makes more sense to swap in someone else, by all means
ROCKETS - many are anticipating a big trade, but if it looks like Giannis and Booker are staying put, and someone outbids for KD, then this could be the small improvements they make.
Houston would waive the two Brooklyn guys to make room for the two Rookies and stay under the 2nd apron. They would postpone the Jabari/Tari extension talks until next year where FVV will be off the books, and after potentially facilitating a Jalen trade (confident both together could fit into that Jalen contract - roughly).
Bring back Adams and Uncle Jeff for the vibes.
CELTICS - pretty self-explanatory at this point. They shed a ton of salary and use one of their two picks this year to do so. On paper Brooks and Holiday would be similar value, but Houston leverage Bostons financial situation.
Brooks could slot right in the middle of Jaylen and Tatum, with MAXIMUM DERRICK playing the 1.
I'm not sure how much shedding $11m of their salary actually saves the franchise but I'd imagine it's a lot.
BROOKLYN - Move into the lottery and take a "bad" contract.
Holiday seems like the perfect vet (not unlike FVV) to help steer the young guys, not only the ones they currently have, but the new ones they'll get on draft night.
