Hornets- Get a defensive guard next to miller and kon. This would probably happen at the deadline, if Coby wasn’t exactly performing to his contract, which I think was an overpay anyway. Trading a first hurts but it was lotto protected anyway, and the first won’t be much good because Miami will be a good team next season imo, and charlotte has 3 firsts in 2027 which is a weak draft class anyway. Charlotte is having trouble going to 15 standard contracts, so trading 2 players for one helps them out with that.

Magic- After trading almost all of their draft picks away for Desmond Bane, getting a first helps them out a lot. Plus the Magic desperately need shooting which Suggs just doesn’t have. Trading him for White who is a great shooter solves that problem. Also pat will be a good vet for guys like Jase Richardson imo.
