or the obvious neglect that went into what the Knicks receive in return for losing their young talent.
or the fact that Gobert can't be traded. Imagine Silver actually said alrighht I'll make an exception for a 4x DPOY award winner if they really wanna go to Milwaukee.
Do you actually do this if you're the Hawks, Rockets, and TWolves? Rockets I'm sure everyone will say you don't mess with a good thing, and it hurts their D too much to lose Tari + Amen. But, would you maybe pay this price to get Daniels? And Mcbride is supposedly such a bucket for the Knicks that they couldn't imagine trading him for this little in return, but what if you could land him & add some 3 point shooting AND add a pick back.
And on the flip side. Say Milwaukee somehow land Cooper Flagg. They'd have Dame, Rudy, Cooper Flagg, Middleton, Hunter, McDaniels, Tari Eason, Cameron Payne. That's potentially 8 real solid NBA players they could have in their rotation. However, if they don't miraculously land Cooper Flagg, it's weak.
PS - this is absolute robbery of the Knicks. I'm aware. Don't care. Imagine there's a sort of an under-the-table good faith deal to hook New York up somehow in the future. Like all the owners just sort of believe in Karma or something lmao
