anything to this?
spurs already have two starting guards, and these picks with the swaps give them a chance to pick high in 28 and 30 or trade for Giannis. if there is a worse contract for Portland to take back, I would include that instead. if there was different vet than RW3 the spurs preferred I would swap that out. I would also consider a different player than Scoot if Simons was preferred but Deni and Camara aren't on the table.
76ers get a prospect and off the PG contract. test drive Ayton but the money expires at the end of the year which is what is valuable. I would switch out Sharpe for Simons if that was preferred, I doubt it is. frees up the 76ers to build around Maxie, McCain, and Sharpe with whatever you get out of Embiid going forward with some financial flexibility.
Portland gets two top picks to continue the rebuild around Deni and Camara. frees them up to take whoever is the best available at 11 without concern about minutes. Portland needs to get worse or much better and this kicks the can on making the playoffs for a year or two and get one more lottery pick in 26 and maybe another in 27.
I'm probably underestimating the value of these picks. let me know what you think and what could improve the trade. thanks!
