Trade Details:
Grizzlies completely blow it up, moving off of Ja and JJJ. In return they eat a couple bad contracts in Portis and Kuzma, but receive almost $30 million in expiring in Tobias Harris. They're incentive comes in a few very interesting young guys in Ivey, Holland, and Rollins. They also receive two (probably very low value) firsts from the Pistons, BUT...a very interesting future first from MIL.
Pistons get a desperate upgrade at their 4 spot. While JJJ is at his lowest value ever, I feel like he fits into this Pistons defense like a glove, and they would be practically impossible to score in the paint on. I think they easily part ways with those low value firsts, and at least one of Ivey and Holland...I could see them refusing to send both though. I think the Griz still do this even if you only get one of Ivey or Holland.
The Bucks simply get desperate. They start grasping at straws and end up grabbing Ja. They move off 2 bad contracts to get a (possibly massive, possibly measly) upgrade to their point guard position. They mainly do this to just give another name attached to Giannis, and you can close your eyes and see a Ja-Giannis pick and roll being pretty nasty. They do have to give up Rollins and a very valuable first in this, but that's the cost of being desperate.
Let me know who says no!
