Quick shoutout to Yahoo Sports as the trade’s build formation is mainly theirs, but I changed a lil stuff so go check out yahoo sports trade for moree information on this trade
Toronto Raptors
Jakob Poetl is not a reliable or star center. Sabonis is a way better player. By fixing the starting center problem, the Toronto Raptors instantly become a force in the east. Barrett is nearing free agency and is eligible for a big extension (up to 4 years, $180 million) that Toronto may be hesitant to pay due to luxury tax. Trading Barrett prevents them from losing him for nothing, and getting an upgrade in the process. The Raptors successfully shed the remaining three years and around $84million on Poeltl’s contract, who has struggled with ongoing back injuries.

Sacramento Kings
Moving Sabonis's contract saves immediate payroll and aligns with General Manager Scott Perry’s vision of building future cap flexibility. Adding O’Neal and Salaun add shooting and guard depth. Adding two valuable first round picks and a second rounder influences the Kings to complete the trade. They acquire promising 21-year-old forward Tidjane Salaün, steady veteran perimeter defender Royce O'Neale, and Poeltl to temporarily fill the void at center.

Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets add RJ Barrett without giving up key core assets. His offensive capability gives them an immediate scoring punch next to Brandon Miller and Kon. They preserve a Traded Player Exception and essentially function as the salary-facilitator using draft assets to make the money work. Also adding a reliable backup point guard in Kris Dunn to fill the hole LaMelo left.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers play the role of the clearinghouse, taking on Pat Connaughton’s contract. In exchange for absorbing his salary, they are rewarded with a whole bunch of second round picks from the hornets and $3.8 million in cash from Charlotte. Post-losing most of their draft picks, they get some seconds. The money completely offsets a significant chunk of Connaughton remaining contract before they might waive him.
