Why San Antonio does this:
San Antonio is looking to trade for a star, preferably a power forward. Although it’s a bit of an overpay for Randle, he would work really well with Wemby in the frontcourt. Plus, they have a shot at the playoffs this way.

It’s pretty simple actually. They’re rebuilding. They trade Collins and Kessler because they’re at the height of their value right now. They get a good young player in Keldon, and picks.
