Lauri is incredible but doesn't seem to fit the timeline that Utah is going to be able to put a contending team on the court. This move would net the Jazz (another) haul of picks to focus on a longer term rebuild, with a massive treasure chest of assets to use when a few of the picks hit (basically the same playbook as OKC is running here).

For OKC, Lauri is another 7footer who can immediately slot in and give them more size and shooting in their starting lineup. Shai, JWil, Lauri, Chet and Dort/Giddey is a lineup with a ton of size / shooting that puts them fully into championship contention.
