Nets Explanation: The Nets are in a rebuild/retool and they don’t even have a pick next year. That’s not ideal with the team not competing right now. Flipping Finney-Smith for Clarke and a FRP makes a lot of sense. Clarke is 4 years younger and is locked up for an extra year compared to DFS. Although he’s not as good, he has the potential to be just as good and fills a role that’s needed on Brooklyn.

Grizzlies Explanation: Even with the acquisition of Smart, I think the Grizzlies are still a move away from being real contenders. Swapping Clarke for Finney-Smith could be that move. DFS is a great defender and can hit 3s well. He slowed down a little in Brooklyn but with Ja drawing so much attention it would lead to some easy shots. Swapping out DFS for Adams to close out games would be a lethal closing lineup.
