To be clear this is under the premise the Pels see the writing on the wall that they can win now and need to think 3-5 years ahead if they wanna build a contender. They have some interesting guys along with Zion would still be good that with development and good vaule trade they can turn this dogshit team around. But frist get a competent GM.
Even with my belief that they should sell on everyone besides Zion, Fears, and probably Trey. I still am unsure on how the Pels would evaluate this offer I think ots tempting but they might get a better offer for Herb.
Why I think the 76ers would do this trade,is because they need a wing defender who is on a cheaper contract, at least for now in the case of Herb. That can also fit along side the rest of the team. The idea is they are making a push to win within the next 2-3 years which i think could go their way in the want to win with Embiid. The hard part is committing to the health of this team, I think George can still be a good player but not worth his contract but you got to make due with what you got sometimes and I think the fit is good they give up none of the guys that can help contribute to wins right now, and you only had to give up a pick that wasn't yours that may be valuable but unclear if it will be and a young guy who looks great but just doesn't quite fit your timeline right now.
I am hesitant if the 76ers giving up the unprotected Clippers pick is too valuable but I think it would incentivize Pels to send Herb to them instead of a different team along with the pairing of a young promising wing I dont think its an impossible trade at least.
There is one last thing that could hold up this trade from happening and its that I belive they Pels get Hard Capped at the 1st Apron. So that could be a bitter pill to swallow thus a 1st round pick feel justified to me.
