This is unlikely to happen in the offseason because it would be a complete turnaround from the Kings idea of still competing right now. But a ceiling of maybe top 6 seed if they get lucky in a loaded West just shouldn't be what the goal is. So here it is.
The complete details of the trades aren't hard and valuations of players may change slightly. I think this is fair value for each of the players and teams.
Kings: They need to rebuild. I feel like they could get this value out of their guys and this is amazing to start a rebuild. If anything, I don't know if the Lakers would give up both Reaves and Knecht, so maybe less there. But the amount of flexibility and cap room that will be opened up in consequent years gives the Kings options beyond what they have now. All of their old and still reliable players are moved on from for a haul of picks and a mix of young payers and contracts.
Nuggets: They need more scoring. For MPJ and Nnaji, Lavine is the cheapest option. If anything a few seconds may have to be moved by one side or the other. But this is necessary if the Nuggets still want to contend right now.
Bucks: Gives a third star to give the barely contending Bucks a final year to work with. If it doesn't work they could do a similar thing to what the Kings are doing here, but with much greater returns for the core they will have built up. Again, this is probably a little bit too much value for Derozan, but maybe the Bucks get desperate
Pistons: They are currently close to conteders, beleive it or not. Sabonis makes them clear contenders, and with their recent history, the picks make it worth it.
Lakers: They get a center, and swap a younger Reaves for Monk. Could maybe even steal some firsts from the Kings here(The ones they are getting from other parts of this trade).
This will clearly not happen, and valuations are all probably a little off. But the concept is what is what is necessary. The Kings, Bucks,and Nuggets all need to do something right now before its too late, while the Pistons and the Lakers make a payment to contend.
