GS is overloaded with good young guards all the way to the G-League team. Dallas needs significant upgrading at guard position and need to unload the older players/costly contracts. The Mavs get 2 very good young guards to align with Flagg and a young team. GS gets another big, but on a contract they have stated they are unwilling to entertain the last 2 years in Gafford. Maybe GS makes an exception for a PF/C rotating player who would almost likely be the 13th or 14 player on the Warriors' roster. Too much to pay for an end of the bench or injury promoted player? Maybe.

The reports came out today that both Butler and Moody are ahead of schedule and are both expected to be back prior to the Trade Deadline. Shooting, movement and rehab are all well ahead of schedule. Maybe GS does not need the trade, but they have so many good young guards that the Mavs could surely use. It appears that GS will be doing their usual routine and only carrying 14 players, and allowed 2-way players, until the Trade Deadline.
