The Pelicans need to free up more playing ime for Jordan Hawkins & Dejounte Murray. Shipping CJ to the Lakers for Rui and D-Lo is an easy fix. They can flip D-Lo for something else or they can keep him. Rui gives them more depth and replaces what they lost when they traded Larry Nance Jr. CJ to the Lakers makes sense. He gives them more shooting and another veteran presence in the back court. He can consistantly give the 12 to 15 a game, while strenghting up the second unit.
