The Wolves are terrific but clearly need better passing and shooting on the perimeter outside of Ant and Conley. SloMo is having a really down season. They are a bad passing team (26th in assist/TO) because of being so big heavy. In this trade, they move him and secondary players and picks for 2 solutions:

Schroder is a very good assist-turnover guy and a solid shooter. He's excellent insurance/backup for Conley.

O'Neale is a good shooter and an unusually good passer as a wing.

Toronto and Brooklyn get perfectly find value in young players and picks.
