Although I think the magic wouldn’t do this trade, I think this trade would benefit both teams. The Magic have struggled with 3P shooting for years and the suns have lacked a defensive/rebounding big since the departure of Ayton. This trade squeezes most of the last of PHX’s draft assists (except for 1 2026 SRP via Denver). I know that 2031 swap will be valuable (idk if they can fully trade the pick rn), but based on Goga’s performance of late, I feel like that’s the only way to get this done. With a real rim protector PHX actually gives themselves a real chance to compete with top tier teams when one their big 3 is injured (which is always). On the other hand, Allen could come off the bench on ORL and would provide a high volume 3P threat, which is what KCP was supposed to do but has sorely failed at so far. Gary Harris is in for salary filler as well as a low volume 3 and D SG off the bench. Similar to Harris, Okogie is mostly salary filler and would provide spot minutes when this team finally hopefully gets healthy. Lastly, Jett Howard is thrown in to make the salaries somewhat even and give PHX a project player that never really panned out a second chance.I considered throwing in Cole Anthony instead of Gary Harris but I feel like the city likes him too much to give up for both him and Goga for just one pick swap. I think PHX would need to make another trade to improve bench scoring which they currently suck at to truely become a dangerous team. Lmk what yall think! Is this fair value? Is Goga too beloved to send off for Allen and Okogie?
