The Brooklyn Nets have Nic Claxton and another big who will be prioritized they recently drafted which is Danny Wolf which means Sharpe is expendable. Nets get draft capital and a young player they can gamble on who in a low pressure development system can refine his stroke.

Toronto Raptors have two issues. 1) Gradey Dick hasn't worked out at all on either side of the court and 2) they need big man help. Gradey Dick was supposed to be able to shoot at a good level but hes not been able to do that and with players like jakobi walter being more serviceable its time for him to get a fresh start. Dayron Sharpe is a strong rebounder on both sides, can finish at the rim, and defend the interior and is cheap.
