76ers- Receive- Dejounte Murray and Collin Sexton

Trade Away- Ben Simmons, Matisse Thybulle, Isaiah Joe, Pick 28th in this years draft and pick 50th in this years draft.

Reasons why- they trade Simmons because of his pour playoff performance and his unwillingness to shoot the ball but they replace some of his defence with Murray and add scoring ability from Sexton. They give up young assets in Thybulle and Joe and also two picks in this draft to get the deal done even though Thybulle plays a key part in the 76ers Defence they believe Murray can fill some of the loss and hope others in the squad step up to help.

Cabs- Receive- Thybulle, Joe and then pick 12,28,50 In this years draft.

Trade away- Collin Sexton

Reasons why- They trade Sexton because they don’t see a future with him, Garland and the 3rd overall pick (most likely Jalen Green) so the trade him for young assets and 3 picks in this years draft which one of them is in the lottery. This allows them to run a backcourt of Garland and Green of the draft falls that way. They also get great defender Thybulle to run with Green and Garland so he can cover for them if needed.

Spurs- Receive- Ben Simmons

Trade away- Murray and pick 12 in this years draft

Reasons why- they see that Simmons fits their defence first play style and hope that in San Antonio away from all the media and pressure they can help Ben develop his shooting. Also Greg Popovich is probably the only coach in the league that won’t get fired for benching Simmons if doesn’t start shootings more which all should help Ben become what people saw when he got drafted.
