A bit more simple.
HOUSTON
Move on from Jalen who's struggling under this new coaching staff. Grab a guy who could fit more of what Ime wants to do especially if he buys again again defensively (though I wouldn't say that's this teams biggest issue right now). Grimes comes back home and Sims seems to have moved to the back of the line in the Center rotation.
Lineup:
FVV/Murray/Brooks/Jabari/Sengun
Amen/Grimes/Whitmore/Tari/Sims(Uncle Jeff)
ATLANTA
Move on to build around Trae. This Brooklyn pick (via Houston) has the potential to be very high in this year's draft. Jalens potential is still sky high, but it's clear his confidence is gone. Hopefully a change of scenery where he can be involved more in the offense could pull him out of his slump. He's been a willing passer this year and his defense has improved a ton so could be an ideal running mate.
With this move I would expect Atlanta to move on from Bogdan as well, and could even be extended in this trade to the Knicks for Fournier and another pick (which NY have plenty of).
Line up: Trae/Jalen/Johnson/Hunter/Capella
Mills/Bogdan/Bey/?/Okongwu
NEW YORK
Grimes is on his way out, unfortunately as soon as he gets put in the block - especially when they're accompanied by rumours about Grimes wanting a bigger role - his value drops. Being able to get another young prospect for him should be considered a win. Especially one who would want to prove himself after getting minimal playing time in ATL.
Tate will bring another defensive presence off the bench.
Lineup: Brunson/Divincenzo/OG/Randle/Mitch
Flynn/Fournier/Tate/Hart/Hartenstein
