The pelicans aren’t going to pay 💰 max and bi is leaving so he is essentially expiring contract.

Pelicans get more pt and rebound production out of these two jazz players. Save money 💰 and have some defensive ups side which is much needed. The contracts are far better than bi current and future cost. Sorry but bi is no star ⭐️ in my book 📚

The jazz will play bi and make him earn it or will trade him for more assets. For now the jazz just want the picks and flexibility to develop their team. Maybe bi works and maybe he doesn’t. Giving up collins and Kessler hurts as they are monsters on the boards. Kessler is very skilled blocker and will only improve. Way cheap and collins can baptize on anyone. He will only prove to be worth more as he stays healthy and spreads the floor. His contract is fair and only two years. The depth these two bring is key 🔑

Jazz hope the pelicans suck and also to get lucky with bucks pick. Jazz all about drafting talent in 2025. Is this enough to increase their odds? Maybe Jazz like bi and pay him….
