In this blockbuster trade, the Grizzlies choose to offload Ja Morant and continue adding draft capital and young players. Given Ja's injury history, off-court issues, and recent run-ins with the coaching staff, it may be time for the Grizzlies to pivot away from the Morant era fully and embrace a rebuild. They have already done very well in the Desmond Bane trade, and this would continue adding to their draft capital.
For the Kings, they have been known to make questionable moves that sacrifice long-term team-building potential. After trading Haliburton and Fox, they look to upgrade at the point guard position and take a swing on Morant despite his flaws. They also add solid role players in DiVencenzo and Konchar.
Lastly, the Timberwolves add backcourt help around ANT in Schroder and Monk who, in my opinion, fit their needs much better than Conley, Dillingham, DDV, and company.
