the dort trade isn’t finalized so i added that, but the spurs get their 2027 first round from the thunder for 2 second round picks after trading the hawks 2027 first round back to the hawks to not get the stephein rule to not allow this trade.
spurs receive a bunch of shooters, a lot of backups and more spacing, they let harper start, and get better shooters, they get more bench and so much better shooters, and they could all play off ball too, they also receive 2 second rounders from the nuggets because of the money, and really losing a star even though they for sure want to get rid of him.
hawks receive a good star point guard and still get dort and nembhard, they receive 2 first round picks and a second, including their own 2027 first round pick which they get because i feel like they might get worse this year with all their shooting getting obliterated, they would be like 20th best shooting team, they trade cj, kispert, and buddy and now your stuck with fox, daniels and dort, all 3 of them haven’t made a playoff three btw, all 3 of them combined 3% is around 29% in the playoffs. which they might ask for another first round pick but they can make value in their own first rounder and they have a 2027 pelicans and bucks swap or wtv which will be really good and then they also receive the nuggets 2028 first round pick which jokic would be 33, cj would be 36, and murray would be 32, even tho they won’t be TOO old, i think they would not have that spark any more
the nuggets receive cj mccollum kispert and mclaughlin, they get around 7-8 million dollars in cap which would let them sign watson i think but if they don’t want to sign him they could still sign a nice player for 8 million, maybe not on the watson level but i think they would just resign watson, he’s too good, he’s the nuggets only defender kinda. the nuggets finally get a good shooting guard and maybe they would want to get a better defender which they could flip cj or kispert, they probably will have a lot of value to go get like davion mitchell and wiggins or nembhard and nesmith, someone real good like that.
the thunder really don’t really get much, they just trade the spurs first round pick in 2027 back to the spurs for 2 more second round picks to not have that stephein trouble. idk if the thunder would wanna do this because idk sam presti’s plan here, im not a 4d chess master like him, im just tryna make smart moves that doesnt include teams outside of trades like the dort trade irl.
