Why Each Team Does This:

Miami Heat: They add an all around player in Kuzma. He can put the ball in the hoop, rebound, and defend at high levels. A perfect player that can help the heat with all their holes in the current team.

Detroit Pistons: They get picks and a player who can rebuild his reputation in their system who they can flip later for Sadiq Bey and Noel. They also get a player around Bey's age in Gafford who is on a longer contract so they wouldn't have to worry about paying him anytime soon.

Washington Wizards: One of the Wizards biggest holes in their roster is depth at the center position. Gafford is only good for 10 minutes in a game because he fouls very easily and Gibson is 38 and is good for small stretches of play. Noel brings in a better backup big who can stay on the court for a long period of time, defend, and is a solid pick and roller. Cory Joseph brings them depth at a position that has been injury plagued for them all season. With Wright being out another couple of weeks and with Beal and Morris having injury issues bringing in Cory Joseph wouldn't be a bad idea considering he is a good role player. Now the big player for them in this trade Sadiq Bey. The wizards have been linked with trying to get him earlier this year. He brings them a younger forward who has shown flashes of amazing offense and defense.
