DETROIT BASKETBALL IS BACK (Off-season moves)

SUCCESS

Pistons triple their win total and put up a great fight against the Knicks in the first round to show that they're ready to compete in the East. They go all in this off-season acquiring Devin Booker via trade and Naz Reid through free agency, while resigning most of the vets that made them successful.

Suns are on the decline and with KD wanting out they will likely look to rebuild and get some value out of Booker as well. They receive a very young and promising Jaden Ivey, 2 expiring vets worth $35m combined, pick 37 in this year's draft, and 2 future first round picks.

The Pistons get a proven, All-NBA, finals-tested star who would be the perfect co-star next to the emerging Cade Cunningham. Booker has been linked to Detroit for years due to his Michigan ties and constant repping of the city. While the Pistons would be sad to see Ivey go, they look to win now as Cade enters his prime.

In addition to Booker, they acquire Naz Reid in free agency. With the Twolves over the second apron, and Naz Reid likely to decline his $15m player option in search of more money, the pistons use their remaining cap space to splash on a stretch-4 and tertiary ball-handler behind Cade and Booker. Pistons also re-sign Malik Beasley, Dennis Schroder, and Paul Reed, who will provide much needed depth.

Is this realistic? Where does this team finish in the East?
