For the Knicks, they are in an extremely good position rn even without Randle, and are poised for a deep playoff run this year as the 2-seed. There has still been lots of talk that they are a star away from being a true contender, and I would agree that may be true. However, I do not believe it is a major star like Donovan Mitchell or Embiid, but rather Bridges. He is the perfect fit on this team: incredible chemistry and history with the Nova guys, tall agile wing who can slot in at the 2 or 3, can knock down the 3 with ease, brings in some support for Brunson in guarding the perimeter, and creates a scary wing combo of Bridges and OG that hardly anyone could get by. I have been a big believer in bringing him in, and I think this is the offseason to do it to maximize the championship window. This trade sees them sign and trade Burks, along with Bogdanovic, Sims, 3 firsts and a second (returning it to Brooklyn) in exchange for Bridges. Although some may say it is too much to give up for Bridges as he hasn't proven himself as a number 1 option, I argue that when the right player comes along, you gotta take a shot. This also sees them bring back both Achiuwa and Hartenstein, as well as anticipating OG will decline his PO and thus signing him back. Although they have to dip well into the luxury to make it work, when something is working, you gotta stick with it, especially when you gave up Barrett and Quickley to make it happen. In an ideal world, maybe OG accepts the PO this year to save them a little money but regardless I believe this gives the Knicks one of the best center rotations in the league (Timberwolves are hard to beat), and Achiuwa can also slot in at the 4 which is extremely beneficial. Overall, as a Knicks fan, this would be the perfect offseason. It still leaves us with some assets to make future trades while maximizing our championship chances.

As for the Nets, I believed they should have gone for a full blown rebuild at the trade deadline this year and built around Thomas and Claxton, however, I forgot just how stacked the next free agency and draft class are and that unless they can get their own pick back then a rebuild may be pointless. This trade sees them bring in two very high quality role players in Bogdanovic and Burks, as well as a young player in Sims, and some more draft capital. With Bogdanovic's contract expiring, adding it to the already expiring contracts of Simmons and Schroeder opens them up significantly more next offseason where they may be able to bring in someone like Donovan Mitchell or maybe even multiple big names. It also gives them a decently competitive team for rn if Thomas takes another step up and takes over as first option (which I think he is very capable of). With the additional picks and some decent trade pieces including those large expirings, it also increases the likelihood they could make a blockbuster trade or a trade to get their picks back. As well, this trade sees them bring back Claxton long-term as they should, and Lonnie Walker who has looked great this season. Overall, this would be a great offseason for the Nets and gives them some more options for the future. EDIT: would like to say that I could easily see the Nets asking for more picks and I wouldn't be opposed to including another first to make it happen
