A bit of a stretch, admittedly. But this could be exactly what each team needs. Brooklyn will get a high draft pick and can immediately pair him with a high draft pick from last year in Holland. They take a flyer on Duren as well. Good news is, Holland and Duren won’t be so good that they ruin the tank job this year or next. Further, getting rid of Claxton and both Cams will cement Brooklyn in the cellar for the remainder of this season, right where they want to be.

Detroit gives up a big chip in Holland and one of their key prospects in Duren. However, the emergence Cade and Ivey give them a more clear path to building a contending roster. Cam Johnson is the two way wing they’ve needed for a while now, yet will not impede the development of Ausar. Claxton answers their question at center and could play alongside Beef Stew in some lineups. Can Thomas gives them a scoring punch off the bench. Their resulting rotation for this year and next would be balanced and well-situated for rapid growth:
